This is one of the weirder Christmas traditions I have ever heard of, and very strange, even to me.

The photo above is of a figure some people in Spain use to beat on with sticks. As they beat the figure, or something that is similar to it, they say the words “¡caga tió!”.

Essentially that's to encourage the object to to poo something out. Really, I'm not kidding!

Of course what is being dropped is little goodies like nuts, torrons and candie. After this goes on and nothing is left, the final object is a salt herring which is shared by the family or community.

This figure actually is set partly into a fireplace when ordered to start pooing, for what reason, I'm not sure.

This was a pretty creative photo shoot of Santa. Poor big elf, never knew what hit him. He didn't know how to react to hot situations, whereas something simple like an avalanche in the North Pole wouldn't have been any trouble for the poor guy at all.

That wasn't an alcohol related situation now was it? I can't tell what those cans are in his hands or lying around his body. Hope Santa has a backup. There are plenty of people looking for jobs this year, so maybe sending a resume up to the North Pole could land you a gig.

Hopefully Santa Claus will have a better year than last year, as not long after Christmas this is what the formally jolly ole elf looked like. Kinda sad, isn't it?

Of course our wonderful political leaders assure us that the recession is over and a recovery has began (one without jobs that is), so maybe Santa will have a better year than last, which seems to be his personal worst on record.

I just wonder how he's going to get all those reindeer and his sleigh back.

In a recent photoshoot for Complex magazine, Eliza Dushku, who was obviously participating to promote the 2nd season premiere of Dollhouse, looked great in the photos, which had her in a lot of skimpy outfits.

But the photo above was unique and strange, and messes with your eyes and brain when you look at it. Pretty cool.

Just so you don't despair about not being able to enjoy the Dushku eye candy, I included another photo from the Complex editorial to enjoy.

Not the second photo of Eliza Dushku crawling on the desk is much easier on the eyes, in more ways than one.

When I first looked at this skeleton tattoo on this guy's back, I first thought it was probably a photoshopped image, based on looking at his glasses on his head from behind. As you can see, the glasses are clear when wearing them on his head, and dark when in the mirror.

I think what he did was hide his identity - for whatever reason - by photoshopping the image in the mirror, but not the image on his back, so there's a good chance this may be a real skeleton tattoo.

Assuming it is, it is a really cool skeleton tattoo, and would have been extremely difficult and time consuming to ink on. The detail in the vertebrae area would have been especially hard to do.

This is an incredible photo of a couple that are tattooed, and it really plays tricks with the eyes, as you can see when you look at the guy's arm, which at first glance isn't obviously laying on the shoulder of the woman.

But the tattoos are great and work together fantastic.

Take a good look, it's still hard to see the way the couple is standing until you really take a close look. Really fun tattoo and tattoo photo.

Vampires will be in for some time, at least until the entire Twilight series passes through the theaters, and that will probably still be several more years before that is through.

So it's no surprise to find an increasing interest in vampires and vampire art, and this female vampire shown here is very well done to me.

Looks like she just got done feeding and someone interrupted her or wanted a piece of the action.

It looks like she's sitting on top of a grave, either being in it and having arisen, or ready to go in. Either way, it's a pretty spooky and scary look. I like it.

Here's a very cool carved pumpkin of the Deathstar from Star Wars. You look at it and wonder how someone can make something like this with a pumpkin.

The secret is the light areas are cut all the way through, the dark areas left alone, and the reddish areas are shaved or peeled to certain levels which give it a shaded look.

But this carved Halloween pumpkin definitely took a lot of work and commitment.

This is one of the funniest dog photos I've seen, and every part of it is very cool.

The idea of a pirate dog isn't that unusual, but every part of this photo really works, and all the pieces are in place for the perfect dog pirate model.

You've got the great hat and what looks like a bandana on the side of his head. The eyepatch fits perfect, and what would a pirate be without a peg leg? But the thing that brings it all together to me is that earing in his ear, making the entire pirate look complete.

Very cool dog pirate pic. Now you know how to dress your dog the next Halloween or themed party.

I think Lady Gaga is using up her fifteen minutes of fame, and it seems more and more people are glad it's coming to an end.

The latest attempt from the talentless entertainer was to put a pair of vampire fangs in her mouth and walk through Heathrow airport. How exciting!

You would have even thought from some of the responses from the media that this was an important event of some type. Yawn.

Lady Gaga was returning from a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel, where reviews of her performance were poor at best.

Whoever designed this evil-looking baby figure really got it right for what they were trying to do, as the LED eyes which light up red, along with the spinning head make this a very creepy object, as you can see.

How it works is when you walk by the evil baby figure, the head spins around and and eyes light up while making haunting noises.

You can see this sitting on the front of someone's doors as children come to visit for Halloween and scaring the daylights out of them.

While we know Goths like to express themselves individually, and Goth is how you personally interpret it for you, but in the case of this guy, he's definitely not very good at doing it.

Makeup on guys doesn't do it for me, and when you get someone that has absolutely no sense of quality or inspiration, it's even worse.

This is just a bad makeup job, whatever reason you give for doing it. The blues are gross, and the look just not compelling at all. It think it's just sloppy, and put on in that way because the person doing it had no idea how to put it all together.

In this strange photo shoot from Carl W. Heindl for Vitaminsforyou, members of a band put on black masks which make them look like Zorro, or the beaked masks associated with fantasy adventure stories, or something you would see in Carnival.

I like the one that has the light seering out of the mask, making it look like some demon has possessed the wearer. It's a well done photo.

Now the obvious question is: what does this have to do with vitamins?

After Zygzag or Fishmouth decided to remove the plates he had inserted into his cheeks, he found out it came at a cost, as after they were removed he discovered he had lost a lot of the use of his mouth as well as his eyes.

Even be body modification standards Zygzag is an extremist, but to go to this level to get attention and to harm yourself doesn't make much sense to me.

What will he do now that his 15 minutes of fame are over and he's left with these types of problems, along with ugly scars from his practice?

Some looking to go the body modification route should consider the consequences if they're going to try to stretch the limits of the practice. Zygzag has found out the hard way.

Keira Knightley has been accused of being anorexic by the media, along with other actresses, and actually fought and won a settlement in a lawsuit which implied her slender body may have been the cause of a teenage girl who died from anorexia.

Anyway, a contest was conducted a while back that had contestants photoshop actresses and make them look anorexic, to see what they would look like if they were.

Of course with all the negative publicity around Keira Knightley being anorexic, many images and photos came in showing her that way. Here are a couple of them which look very weird, so say the least.
