Spiders Crawling on Head Halloween Mask

Horror Halloween Mask

This is one of the more bizarre, creepy and scary Halloween masks I've seen. You just don't even want to look at this once you've taken your first glance.

Those spiders around the eyes, ears and mouth are just gross.

But what I think really makes this Halloween horror mask is the extended neck, which gives it more of a feel of authenticity. Don't worry about being noticed or different on Halloween if you wear a mask like this; you'll definitely get attention.

Great Horror Halloween Mask

Horror Halloween Mask

Now that Halloween's creeping up on us, it's time to show you some of the great Halloween masks out there, and I'll be putting some up off and on over the next few weeks to get you inspired and generate some ideas to get you noticed at your Halloween party.

This mask is obviously very professionally made, and really gives you the creeps when you look at it for a while.

Everything from the way the hair is on his head to the chewed up ear, and of course the best: the hanging eyeball. Go up behind someone with this and you'll see them give out a good scream or yell.

Bizarre Behavior | Lady Gaga Wears Vampire Fangs at Heathrow

Bizarre Behavior Lady Gaga

I think Lady Gaga is using up her fifteen minutes of fame, and it seems more and more people are glad it's coming to an end.

The latest attempt from the talentless entertainer was to put a pair of vampire fangs in her mouth and walk through Heathrow airport. How exciting!

You would have even thought from some of the responses from the media that this was an important event of some type. Yawn.

Lady Gaga was returning from a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel, where reviews of her performance were poor at best.

Horror | Evil Possessed Baby Figure

Horror

Whoever designed this evil-looking baby figure really got it right for what they were trying to do, as the LED eyes which light up red, along with the spinning head make this a very creepy object, as you can see.

How it works is when you walk by the evil baby figure, the head spins around and and eyes light up while making haunting noises.

You can see this sitting on the front of someone's doors as children come to visit for Halloween and scaring the daylights out of them.

TV Series 'The Walking Dead'

'The Walking Dead' Coming to AMC

The horror genre has been hopping lately, with all the vampire, werewolf stories or sub-stories capturing the imaginations and attention of people all over; especially with Twilight and True Blood ... and soon to come The Vampire Diaries.

Riding that interest, AMC is about to release a new series based on an adaptation from the graphic novel "The Walking Dead," written by Robert Kirkman and illustrated by Frank Darabont. Apparently, Frank Darabont will be directing and writing the series.

According to Joel Stillerman, VP of programming, production and original content for AMC, the series will stay faithful to the tone and feel of the original stories.

While I'm sure there will be some zombie action in the storyline, the overall feel of the novels was to focus on the suvivors of a zombie apocalypse and how the drama of their lives play out in the aftermath. In other words, it's a survival story. Still sounds pretty cool; especially with Darabont signing on.

Extreme Tattoos | Horror Tattoos from Major Films

Extreme Tattoos

Here's an interesting sleeve tattoo of some of the more notorious film horror stars, and they're done very well by the tattoo artist.

I wish I could have seen several different views of the tattoos, as they each look like they're really cool.

But as you can see from the photo, Chuck looks very realisitic, and the tattoo designer and artists captured the evil connected to him.

Zombie Fighters Prepare!

Zombies

You know they're coming. The zombies will soon be released in an attack around the world, and only those prepared will survive.

So I thought I'd include the ultimate in zombie survival gear, which simply includes the words: ‘In Case Of Zombies Break Glass.’

Inluded in your zombie survival kit is a shotgun, two handguns and two grenades.

This is too funny.

Tattoos | Killer Hamster Tattoo

Tattoos

This was a pretty cool tattoo, and one I haven't seen before. How about this killer hamster holding a severed finger looking about to chew on it?

Now who would have thought of getting that inked on them?

I guess it shows you can't even trust a hamster these days.

Horror Props to Freak Out Colleagues

Horror

For the discerning horror geek, here we have the accessories to satisfy the gore lovers everywhere.

You can buy these in a set place them strategically across your desk to either remind your colleagues you're dangerous to deal with, or what is in store for all of us as the virus spreads.

These are actually made for arm rests for the power computer user.

One possible other use would be to share it with others before they get to their desks in the morning. That would be fun to see the reactions of the unaware.

Vampires | Cool Two-Eyed Girl Vampire Poster

Vampire Poster

This poster is a good lesson to all the guys. Just because you see a cute girl from behind wearing pigtails, doesn't mean she's safe.

It gets worse though. Not only does she have a good pair of vampire fangs, but when she bites you you have to look at those two different colored eyes. Talk about adding insult to injury.

That'll teach ya not to come with protection. Hehe.

Oh well, I really do like the pretty girl. I nominate her for the girl vampire next door! Anyone agree?

At least my home girl vampire in the photo below is right up front with it.

Vampires | Gruesome Vampire Photos the Rage

Vampire Photos

As shown in the above photo by Terry Richardson, anything vampire is popular, with a lot of that popularity being generated by the popular Twilight vampire series by Stephanie Meyer, which will have its second installment "New Moon" coming out later this year.

Of course I doubt the Twilight series will include photos and images like this, as it is attempting to be more of a love story, although vampire stories without a little "teeth" would probably be pretty dull (puns intended).

These vampire photos, especially in the case of the rope around the neck definitely push the limit, and show the interpretations of Richardson from quite a different mindset than Stephenie Meyers.

Goth | Goth Fashion Popular This Season

Goth

Looking at the fashion shows and collections this spring, goth fashion trends have been a very popular theme, along with the darkened shadow around the eyes.

Vogue Italia just released a collection from the likes of Nina Ricci, Yhoji and Yves Saint Laurent with a strong goth fashion statement shot by Craig McDean.

Some of these photos were strangely bizarre and eerie, as a number of models looked like they were mannequins.

Some of the more popular models took part in the shoot like Magdalena, Jourdan, Eniko and Evelina.

Bizarre Subcultures | Norwegian Black Metal

Bizarre Subcultures

Photographer Peter Beste has been known for his exploration of subcultures, and in his latest work, he shows us the type of culture surrounding Norwegian Black Metal. The book is named "True Norwegian Black Metal."

Norwegian Black Metal emerged in the early 1990s, with an extremely dark underside, which included murders and arson; especially against medieval wooden church buildings.

They've also been known do desecrate graveyards.

According to Beste, it originally started out as a juvenile fad, which quickly became a war against Christianity. It also advocates a return to the worship of Norse gods.

They completely reject mainstream society in all its forms.

Included in his book are a look at black metal acts like Darkthrone, Mayhem, Emperor, Satryicon, Enslaved and Immortal.

Horror | Macabre Paintings of Matthew Bone and Brian Viveros

Horror

In an exhibit named "Southern" at The Last Rites Gallery in New York, Brian Viveros and Matthew Bone displayed their horror paintings' exhibit based on their love of the horror genre.

According to Matthew Bones, his work was inspired by the French horror film "Inside," which I've included a trailer of below.

As you can see from the paintings, there is a dark ad macabre element in the works, definitely underscoring the dark side of the sense of horror that always seems to be just outside our consciousness. There is a haunting feeling to the work, as you can see.

Bizarre Celebrations | Celebrating 30 Years of Fangoria

Bizarre Celebrations

Fangoria recently celebrated its 30th year of bringing all the horror and gore it could think of to horror genre fans.

Horror fans were definitely up to the challenge of dressing in the most macabre creations they could think of.

Some of those included schoolgirl zombies, killer condoms, nurse zombies and blood baths, among a plethora of others.

There was the obligatory horror movies for fans to watch, along with attempts for zombie walkers to break the record.

Fangoria fans had a blast.

Horror | Fright Fans Get New Horror Movie Portal from MySpace

Horror

Increasingly MySpace is moving toward being an entertainment and entertainment niche portal, and going with that transformation, they've added a new channel to the site named the "Horror Movie Channel."

Along being populated with some blogs for popular horror web sites, the channel also has an interview and preview from the upcoming horror film release from Sam Raimi - "Drag Me To Hell."

This site is already gaining some traction, and once horror fans find it, should be very popular for those who can't get enough of their horror content.
